We count pages, not people.

No cookies, so there is no banner to click. No accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for. Every script, style and image loads from this domain, so no advertising or analytics company sees what you do here.

We keep running totals — how many people opened each kind of page, whether they arrived from a search engine or a link someone shared, which drug, dose and coverage situation each calculation was for, and a same-day estimate of how many different readers that was. Nothing we keep identifies you: no IP address, no visitor ID, no account. Not your state, and not your budget.

The counting is done by software we run ourselves — a second service of ours on the same private network, not an analytics company. To tell “the same reader again today” from “someone new”, it scrambles the address and browser name your request already carries into a number that cannot be unscrambled back, holds that number in memory for at most half an hour, and writes only totals to disk. At midnight Pacific the scrambling key is destroyed, so yesterday’s numbers cannot be recomputed by anyone, including us. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the page is counted and the reader step is skipped entirely.

Two more totals describe the software, not you: which crawlers visit (Googlebot, GPTBot and the like), and a tally of browser, operating system and whether the screen was a phone or a desktop. Those three are read from the header your browser sends every site, sorted into a short list of names, and thrown away. They are counted separately from everything above and are never joined to it, so “how many readers use Safari” is a number we have and “which browser priced Zepbound” is one we cannot ask.

The server also writes an ordinary access log — the address requested, the response code, how long it took, and which browser or crawler asked — which is how a broken page gets found. It carries no IP address, so there is nothing in it that points at a person, and it lives in our host's log stream for a few days rather than anywhere we keep.

One thing worth knowing: a link like /cost/zepbound/5/commercial-excluded/us states the drug, the dose and that a plan denied it. That is what makes it shareable, and worth a thought before you paste it somewhere public.
